HLC GIRLS PROGRAM INFORMATION

 

 

 

HLC is committed to delivering a comprehensive club lacrosse program that focuses on developing players’ skills and lacrosse knowledge through a high level of teaching and coaching while encouraging players to participate in other sports.

 

Our Program Offers:  

  • Qualified and experienced coaches with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) and US Lacrosse Level 1 to Level 3 certifications.
  • Opportunity to play higher-level lacrosse year round with fellow players from the area, surrounding counties and Pennsylvania.
  • Conveniently located facilities for practices and clinics at Hereford High School turf & Hereford Middle School. 
  • Competitively priced membership fees based on each particular team's league and tournament play.
  • Custom designed uniforms that include jersey and shorts.
  • Position-specific clinics and agility training led by HLC coaches, guest instructors, and alumni college players.

 

Tryout Process:  Evaluations will be conducted by HLC’s coaching staff and knowledgeable independent evaluators.  Players will be evaluated on attitude, position-specific skills, athletic ability and lacrosse IQ during drills and scrimmage play.  Tryouts will conclude on August 28, 2017.  Players will be notified of results shortly after tryouts are complete.  Invitations to join a HLC team must be accepted or declined by September 1, 2017.  Failure to respond by the 1st will be considered a decline.

 

Commitment:  Scheduled practices and participation in clinics, leagues & tournaments will vary by team and depend on the age group.  Commitment level increases for older age groups. Typical commitment levels are as follows:

 

2021 -2024

·         Fall 2017– Six to eight Sunday evening positional skills clinics. One to two Fall tournaments.

·         Winter 2018 – Six to eight indoor training sessions.

·         Spring 2018 – Two practices per week, Saturday &/or Sunday spring club leagues.

·         Summer 2018 – Two practices per week for six weeks/Two local tournaments and one away tournament in June as determined by coach.

 

2025 & 2026

·         Fall 2017 – Six to eight Sunday evening positional skills clinics. One Fall tournament possible.

·         Winter 2018 – Six to eight indoor training sessions.

·         Spring 2018 – Two practices per week, Saturday or Sunday spring club league.

·         Summer 2018 – Two practices per week for six weeks/Two local tournaments and one away tournament in June as determined by coach.

 

2027 & 2028

·         Fall 2017 – Six to eight Sunday evening positional skills clinics.

·         Winter 2018 – Six to eight indoor training sessions.

·         Spring 2018 – One practice per week during REC spring season, possible scrimmages and tournament play.  2027 – 2028  HLC players are encouraged to participate in a REC spring season in addition to HLC Spring season.

·         Summer 2018– One practice per week for six weeks. One tournament in June as determined by coach

 

 

 

Membership Fees:  HLC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.  Fees are dictated by our costs of operation.  Club Fees for the 2017-2018  season will be announced shortly.
